Sharing a border (and a winemaking team) with the legendary Château Mouton Rothschild, Château d’Armailhac is one of the most consistent over-performers in Pauillac. This 5th Growth is known for its "muscular elegance"—it has all the structure and depth of its famous neighbors but with a more approachable, vibrant personality. The 2014 vintage benefited from an exceptional Indian summer, resulting in a wine that is refined, deep, and perfectly balanced.
The Experience
The Vibe: Sophisticated, classic, and high-energy. This is "Old School" Bordeaux meets modern precision.
On the Palate: A dense and deep profile. Expect a refined nose of wild blackberry liqueur and black cherries, rounded off by licorice, tobacco leaf, and exotic spices.
The Finish: Polished and firm. The tannins have softened beautifully with a decade of age, leaving a long, savory finish of cedar and crushed stones. It’s medium-to-full-bodied with a tangible "mineral" lift that keeps it fresh.
