Sophia' is the flagship Bordeaux-varietal blend from Craggy Range, and one of New Zealand's most prestigious red wines. Sourced from their best parcels in the unique Gimblett Gravels sub-region of Hawke's Bay, the blend is typically dominated by Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is aged for up to 19 months in French oak barrels. 'Sophia' is a wine of great complexity and structure, offering layers of dark plum, cassis, and black cherry, interwoven with notes of tobacco, cedar, and dried herbs. The palate is rich and concentrated with fine, powerful tannins, promising exceptional aging potential.
